At Green Yard Plant Store, we take pride in providing our customers with the highest quality plants and gardening supplies. We understand that sometimes things don’t go as planned, which is why we’ve created a straightforward returns and exchanges policy to ensure your complete satisfaction.

Our Return & Exchange Promise

We accept returns and exchanges within 15 days of your receipt of plants. To be eligible for a return or exchange, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original container, and accompanied by your proof of purchase.

Non-Returnable Items

Due to the perishable nature of certain plants and to ensure the health and safety of our other products, the following items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Carefree House Plants (as these are specifically marketed as low-maintenance and resilient)
  • All edible plants including Apple Trees, Avocado Trees, Blackberry Bushes, Blueberry Bushes, and Cherry Trees (due to agricultural regulations)
  • Air Purifying House Plants (subject to special handling requirements)

Please choose these items carefully, as we cannot accept returns unless they arrive damaged or defective.

Return & Exchange Process

  1. Submit a Request: Within 15 days of receiving your order, email us at [email protected] with your order number and reason for return or exchange. You may use the template provided below.
  2. Wait for Approval: Our team will respond within 2 business days with authorization and instructions for returning your item(s).
  3. Ship Items Back: Once approved, securely package the plant(s) using similar protective materials and ship to the address provided. Please include your return authorization number on the package.
  4. Receive Refund or Exchange: Upon receipt and inspection of the returned item(s), we will process your refund or ship your replacement within 5 business days.

Important: Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is due to our error (e.g., wrong item shipped, damaged product). Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Refund Information

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed to your original method of payment within 7-10 business days. The timing of the refund appearing in your account depends on your payment provider’s policies:

  • Visa/MasterCard/JCB: 5-10 business days
  • PayPal: 3-5 business days

Damaged or Incorrect Items

If your plants arrive damaged or you received incorrect items, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery at [email protected] with photos of the damaged items and packaging. We will arrange for a replacement or refund at no additional cost to you.
